Carragher’s England recall flirtation
In the past 48 hours it has emerged that Jamie Carragher, the veteran Liverpool defender, is reconsidering his 2007 decision to retire from the international stage in the run up to next month’s World Cup Finals. Fabio Capello’s England team in recent weeks and months has suffered blow after blow to the defensive bedrock of his side and, it has emerged, talks have taken place for the Reds legend to resume his England career.
