About Gavin Brightman

 I’m Gavin Brightman, co-editor and Director of Communications for Headers & Volleys.

I work as a designer for several top travel magazines in London’s creative central: Shoreditch. You may also occasionally find me in the travel sections of newspapers wearing my other cape as freelance travel writer.

A combination of football and dirty beats make my day turn, and it was my obsession with the former which brought me on board with Headers & Volleys.

My role encompasses the promotion, plugging and pimping of our wares to readers who might otherwise never know what they’ve been missing. We’re aiming to say something different, in a bit of a different way and I’m here to make sure we are saying it to the right people.

Another grossly underlooked aspect of my work with Headers & Volleys is to keep our editor in check. Now I’m not saying he’s easily distracted or often gets caught up in his delusions of grandeur but… erm, well, actually that’s exactly what I’m saying!

I make sure we are writing something you’ll want to read, so when he starts discussing his ideas for a 20,000 word expose into the illegal Bovril cartels operating in lower league Scottish football, well, the fact you’ve never been subjected to that is in no small part down to me.
